This unmanipulated photograph was shot in Toulouse, France 5 July 2010.
This is my dear friend Florence and the effect you see was produced by camera motion. I did some slight color correction work.
For more information about my luxagraphic movement please read this manifesto.
This unmanipulated photograph (0642) was shot in front of the Five Point (bar) near lower Queen Anne on 11 October 2006.
I have cropped it slightly and made a small adjustment to the contrast (+10) and brightness (-10). Â No other post-processing work has been done.
Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to reading your comments and suggestions.

This unmanipulated photograph (4396) was shot while camping in the mountains (near the town of Index) on 1 July 2006.
The white line is the moon. The blue is the sky. The dark is the slope of the mountain (near Stevens Pass).
This image has been shrunk and resized only.
Questions and comments are always welcome.

I have done several luxagraphic series where, in addition to camera motion, I have also interposed objects between the subject(s) and the lens. Â Here I present a collection of nine such shots where the interposed object is a shot glass. Â You could argue that the shot glass is then acting as a secondary lens or a kind of filter. Â The shot glass itself may or may not be in motion as it is hand-held during the process.
I suppose I’ll start off with some of the more mundane creations and work into the more complex and stunning. Â Please keep in mind that these are all pure luxagraphia. Â Camera motion (and the interposed shot glass) is all that is used to create these photographs. Â These are not manipulated and there has been no post-processing work done (all exceptions noted).

Alright. Â There you have a nice collection of related photographs. Â I hope you enjoy viewing them. Â I know I enjoy shooting them (in spite of the odd looks I get from people as I’m doing it.) Â Your thoughts are always welcomed in the comments. Â Thanks for taking the time to look over my work.
This unmanipulated photograph (2841) was shot at Seamonster (in Wallingford) here in Seattle on 7 December 2006.
This is a strait photograph (not even luxagraphic) of a glass globe light fixture. Thanks for peeking. (Originally posted 2007 02 27.)
No post-processing work. Â This unmanipulated photograph (2813) was shot on 4 July 2007 on Lake Union. Â It was shot under the same conditions as yesterday’s series, but this photograph uses more luxagraphic motion to further exploit the time axis.
Ultimately, what you see is the product of lights reflected on water and time.
Thanks for taking an interest.
